Dipl.-Phys. Frieder Hecker

Mr. Hecker studied physics at the Universities of Jena and Rostock. Since 1991 he is employed at the Gesellschaft für Simulatorschulung (GfS) in Essen as an instructor for simulators. After his qualification for the nuclear power plant Philippsburg 1, he participated in the construction of the S32 simulator from 1994 to 1997. In addition, Mr. Hecker was involved in follow-up projects, where the simulator was used to support the extensive upgrades in the reference plant KKP 1.
In the year 2003 Mr. Hecker also received approval as an instructor for the nuclear power plant in Gundremmingen. Besides the regular simulatoion courses for shift, technical and managing staff of the power plant, he serves as a lecturer in various basic courses on nuclear power plants with boiling water reactors, amongst others for employees of the GRS.
