Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Friedrich Hoyler
„Only someone who understands what he is doing, will work motivated and engaged. Therefore, education is extremely important.“
Mr. Hoyler studied physics at University of Tübingen from 1972 to 1979 and received his Ph.D. in 1982 with a dissertation on direct nuclear reactions. From 1982 to 1987 he was as research assistant at the high flux reactor of the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble (France) in charge of several instruments for high-resolution gamma spectrometry.
Between 1987 and 1994 Mr. Hoyler worked on experiments in nuclear physics at the University of Tübingen and received his venia legendi in 1994 in the field of experimental physics.
Since 1994 he teaches as professor the fundamentals of physics and nuclear technology as well as nuclear physics, radiation protection and measurement techniques in the master program for nuclear applications (EMINA) and “Energy Systems” at the FH Aachen - University of Applied Sciences.
Since 1998 Mr. Hoyler is the director of the training center for radiation protection at the FH Aachen.
