Dr. Keienburg studied at the Universities of Bochum and Cologne. She wrote her PhD thesis about "Public Participation in Mining Law". Since 1996 she is a lawyer specialized in the administrative law and a longtime member of the Environmental Law Society as well as of the International Bar Association. In 2004, she also was appointed as a notary.
Dr. Bettina Keienburg advises project proponents and authorities in public law. She is specialized in consulting for major projects, which deal with public participation and often raise difficult questions to legal and political issues. Her activities cover the planning approval procedure and approval procedures under Mining Law, Nuclear Energy Law, Pollution Law and the Environmental Impact Assessment Act. Dr. Bettina Keienburg is a lecturer at the RWTH Aachen University.
