Dipl.-Ing. Michael Kübel
„The nuclear regulatory transport of radioactive materials requires thorough planning.“
Mr. Kübel worked for the company Transnuklear in Hanau from 1980 until 1988, after he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe. He was responsible for licensing procedures in radiation protection, regarding the transport and handling of radioactive materials. Furthermore he was responsible for the radiation protection as well.
In 1988, parts of Transnuklear merged with the company NUCLEAR CARGO + SERVICE GmbH (NCS). Mr. Kübel kept his position and responsibilities within the new company. Furthermore he is head of the administrative department for quality assurance.
Among other things Mr. Kübel is radiation protection officer and authorized agent for dangerous goods at NCS. He also represents the company in committees like the Professional Trade Association for Radiation Protection (working committee “Transport”) and the trade association for nuclear fuel cycle and nuclear technology (chairman of the committee “Nuclear Transportations”). In addition Mr. Kübel is an active lecturer on the topic of “Transport of Radioactive Materials” for different organizers of seminars and trainings.
